Spent a few days in Breckenridge this past weekend. Mike and Hunter went skiing while Caroline and I just hung out around town. In the lobby at the place we stayed was a cozy bar where draft beers were only a buck fifty. Better than that was the bartender, Bubba Haught. Caroline loved Bubba as he won her heart by giving her toys and making her hot chocolate with whip cream and cherries. Bubba has quite a story to tell which you can find here http://www.vaildaily.com/article/20080312/RECREATION01/707617978
Before we left on Monday Caroline had to write Bubba a note thanking him for her gifts and telling him that she will miss him.
Hunter is such an adrenaline junkie and loves to ski. Of course he has so much energy so this sport suits him well. The only thing it does not suit is our bank account. Man skiing is so expensive. Next year he can apply for a free pass that will allow him to ski certain areas free. This we will certainly do.
Also this week in Breckenridge they had the Budweiser International Snow Carving. Here are a few photos of the sculptures.
All in all it was a great time in Breck. Can't wait until next year.
